Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to LEX FUTURA: Bamara Research Center undergo a rigorous and transparent peer-review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published articles.
1. Initial Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. The editorial office will acknowledge receipt of the submission.
2. Editorial Screening
The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editors conduct an initial evaluation to ensure that the manuscript:
- Fits within the journal’s focus and scope
- Meets the basic writing and formatting requirements
- Shows adequate academic quality and originality
- Passes plagiarism screening
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without further review.
3. Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers under a double-blind peer-review system, where:
- The identities of the authors are not disclosed to the reviewers
- The identities of the reviewers are not disclosed to the authors
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Methodological rigor
- Clarity of analysis and discussion
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Quality of references and citations
4. Review Decision
Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision
- Minor revision
- Major revision
- Reject
The decision, along with reviewers’ comments, will be sent to the author.
5. Revision Process
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ and editors’ suggestions within the specified timeframe. Revised manuscripts may be returned to the reviewers for further evaluation.
6. Final Decision
The Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
7. Copyediting and Publication
Accepted manuscripts will undergo:
- Copyediting and proofreading
- Layout editing
- Final approval by the author
The article will then be scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue of the journal.
8. Review Timeline
The peer-review process typically takes 4–8 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the revision process.
