Publication Ethics
LEX FUTURA: Bamara Research Center is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
All parties involved in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—are expected to adhere to the following ethical standards.
1. Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must ensure that:
- Originality and Plagiarism: Submitted manuscripts are original works. Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given. Plagiarism in all its forms constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
- Multiple or Redundant Publication: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently or publish redundant or duplicate content.
- Authorship of the Paper: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study.
- Data Integrity: Authors must present accurate data and provide sufficient details to allow replication. Fabrication or falsification of data is unethical.
- Disclosure of Conflicts of Interest: Authors should disclose any financial or other substantive conflicts of interest that may influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given.
- Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When authors discover a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate in retracting or correcting the paper.
2. Ethical Responsibilities of Editors
Editors are responsible for:
- Publication Decisions: Editors have full authority to decide which articles are published based on the validity, originality, and significance of the work.
- Fair Play: Manuscripts are evaluated solely on intellectual content without discrimination based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, citizenship, or political beliefs.
- Confidentiality: Editors must ensure that information regarding submitted manuscripts is kept confidential.
- Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted manuscript for their own research without the author’s explicit consent.
3. Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers must:
- Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Assist editors in making editorial decisions and help authors improve their manuscripts.
- Confidentiality: Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
- Objectivity: Conduct reviews objectively and provide constructive feedback. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate.
- Acknowledgment of Sources: Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
- Conflict of Interest: Reviewers must decline to review manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest.
4. Ethical Responsibilities of the Publisher
The publisher, PT. Bamara Mitra Solutions, ensures that:
- Editorial decisions are free from commercial or financial influence.
- The integrity of academic records is maintained.
- Corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies are published when necessary.
5. Plagiarism Policy
All manuscripts submitted to LEX FUTURA: Bamara Research Center will be screened using plagiarism detection software (e.g., Turnitin or Similarity Check). Manuscripts found to contain plagiarism or excessive similarity will be rejected.
6. Ethical Oversight
